Furen International School (FIS) was established as a Preparatory School in 2000 with the sole mission of preparing students for Singapore’s GCE O-Level Examinations, we have since then expanded to offer several other courses. All our courses, however, to this day maintain a singular focus and purpose – to prepare students for university. There are two qualities that we firmly believe are necessary for a student to progress to university: academic success and exposure.
Academic success is a MUST, and the core attribute and qualification required to enter FIS is a motivated student who possesses the character traits of perseverance and industriousness. To achieve academic success, we interact closely with our students. The Principal, Form Teachers, Student Mentors and Course Consultants are all actively involved in each student’s journey to realise their true potential. And for students who are academically strong, we encourage them to supplement their current studies with extra coursework.
On top of academic success, we require exposure, meaning that students must partake in social causes to broaden their horizons. FIS students participate in many holistic programs.

To enter top universities, a winning application profile must include both academic and non-academic achievements. Our students have an active and positive relationship with our consultants and application specialists who ignite their dreams and work closely together with them in realising these dreams.
